« on: October 02, 2015, 09:58:29 AM »
Have a question maybe some one can answer:

Why is it I can jump to some planets up to 40+LY and yet cant jump to planets under 30 LY?

You can nearly always jump to a planet 30LY or less (planets with an existing battle are typically the only exception).

There is nothing special about 40LY.

The jump rules are covered here: http://mwo.netbattletech.com/jumpships_and_travel.html#Types%20of%20Jumps

Well there is no battles at the planet that is 28 LY away but cant jump to it where I can jump to planets 40+ LY away and isnt just one planet this happens to. Only able to hit 2 planets that arent ours and have 4 with in a 30 LY distance and can only hit one of the 4 but can hit our planets (well at least a few of the ones we have with in 60LYs). Have some ours we cant hit form there and are less then 50LY away.

Is your jumpship over one of your planets or somebody else's?

PM me the jumpship location and what faction you are (sorry I can't keep track) and I'll look into it for you.

I have seen several instances where the listed distance is just within the constraints, but it is still not accessible. A normal jump within friendly territory should be possible at 60ly. A planet that is at like 57 and has no battles or anything is still listed as not jump-able.

In this instance Thumper was on an enemy planet, which affects things.

ah yeah, that happened to us too. Marik attacked an enemy planet that my JS was on and it prevented us from being able to attack from that planet. All I could do was jump back to friendly space.
