Real-life is causing issues (for instance, the server decided it doesn't want to accept incoming mail anymore, so I've been debugging that for the past two days), and work is preventing Slitscan from working on the automation right now. So slippage is happening (as expected). The timeframes suggested by Derv and Mags are probably in the ballpark.

228 and HHoD have agreed to play-test the new Sector Assault rules; if teams are interested in doing that as well, that would be keen (it may also be worth play-testing the Sector Raid rules to see how well - or not - they work in practice).

In reality, I think I would almost rather not go up against an MRBC season since that seems to take a lot of teams' time when it's going on; I know that sounds like a convenient excuse for pushing back the start of the next NBT (and it is) but it also makes sense, based on experience from the last go-around.

I finally wrestled the email server issue to the ground (it almost won...).

My goal is to get the new site/code to a point of basic usability/functionality, where people can register on the development version of the site and follow along with progress as it's made. Slitscan and I continue to work on the back and, and Deadfire has started helping with the site layout/design/look-and-feel while I work on the front-end functionality, so hopefully things will progress more quickly now.

I intended to have this basic usable version available and announced this week, but best-laid-plans and all of that...now it's looking like this weekend at the earliest. Don't expect a finished product, of course, any more than you would when you visit a construction site for a new building. You can see the shape and watch as the windows are put in and the paint is applied, but you wouldn't expect to be able to move in and buy curtains when it's just framing and foundation, any more than you should expect to be able to start "playing NBT" the first time you see the development version.

BTW, I'll probably use this same metaphor again when I announce the general availability of the dev automation. Just want to be clear on expectations, is all.

Will the Confederation be building any of the new Unseen that are available in MWO now?

I don't think we have a lineup yet for who will be building what. I'll have to defer to Tundra Wolf on how we allocate production.

The Warhammer for sure at least, Marauder probably.

You can make a case for the Marauder and Archer, but the Rifleman isn't a capellan favorite.

What era are we playing?

If we are playing 3050, then I think production is already too high in NBT. Few designs are being built during this time, with most of the resources going into refits, or cranking out large numbers of easy to build Mechs like Locusts,  Vindicators and Cataphracts to make up for 4th Succession War losses, with some extra effort going into the Raven and further ECM development.

Like most of the Inner Sphere during this era, the Capellan Confederation has only small amounts of the older versions of these Mechs in its inventory. (Only the Taurian Concordat produces the ARC-2R Archer, MAD-3R Marauder and WHM-6R Warhammer by this point in time.)

However, I'd like to see the RFL-3N, ARC-2R, WHM-6R, and MAD-3R distributed far and wide across the Inner Sphere in small numbers, including the Capellan Confederation. I'd also like to see UrbanMechs injected, as they are now available for C-Bills and the Capellan Confederation has a large percentage of them than the rest of the Inner Sphere, particularly the UM-60L and UM-63 variants.

If we're talking about 3067 and beyond, then yes, the Capellan Confederation is producing Archers, Warhammers, and Marauders. The ARC-T could even substitute for the ARC-7L, a design which used ECM and stealth armor.

I think this next NBT is 3048-ish.

Nanking was stolen by the dirty Davions during the 4th war.
